Cultural History of Boba Tea

Boba (or Bubble) tea is a delicious drink that's thought to have originated in Taiwan in the late 1980's.  It was concocted during a hot summer by a food stall owner who took two popular desserts - tapioca and shaved ice - and combined them with milk tea!
